Registration & coffee from 9:30am
Workshop starts at 10am, and ends at 5pm

This is a one-day workshop comprising of both experiential and didactic components. It will be a comprehensive overview of this particularly difficult area of work. Topics included will be;

Getting self-harm in perspective.
The importance of frank and direct dialogue
Accompanying the client through their pain.
Exploring reasons to live.
Assessing the risk.
Disabling the plan.
Keeping the client safe
Safety contracts.
Staying connected.
Caring for one's self.

Also there will be some opportunity for case study and supervision.

About the facilitator:

Paul Lindemann is a Counsellor, Supervisor and Trainer working within an integrated Humanistic frame, and has a growing international reputation for his work.

Fees:
Bucks Adlerian Training students £10, non-BAT students £30.

CPD - certificate of attendance available.

Please bring a contribution towards a shared lunch.
