A four day course.

Facilitated by Wendy Goddard

Registration & coffee from 8:45am
Workshop starts at 9am, and ends at 5pm

Facilitating Parent Groups - The Adlerian Way is an innovative and exciting course that provides all those working with families the tools to design and deliver effective and life-changing parenting courses. The weekend workshops will equip you with the basic knowledge, techniques, and materials needed to conduct Supporting Positive Parenting classes in your community (using the teachings of Alfred Adler as the philosophical core and integral discipline). You will receive the manual used to present the programme – which includes all the handouts for parents, detailed facilitator’s guide for each session, and a useful section of theory, organisation and evaluation, and further guidance on various aspects for those new to facilitating groups. You will be encouraged to work spontaneously, creatively and sensitively with a flexible parenting programme. The training is designed to be safe, informal and fun.

This is an ASIIP accredited course, and you will receive an ASIIP certificate to cover the 32 hours’ training provided by the course.

The “Supporting Positive Parenting” programmes published by Russell House Publishing Ltd, are accepted on the Parenting Academy’s Commissioners Toolkit and are being widely used around the country with very favourable evaluations from parents and facilitators.

“We are currently running two of the programmes and are getting positive feedback from the parents. Thank you for producing such a wonderful resource and the training was amazing.”
